Francis LeRoy Robert, age 79, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away April 7, 2022.  He was born on July 27, 1942 in Eureka, Kansas to Henry Eldon and Nellie Melissa (Smith) Robert, one of nine children.

Francis attended the Severy, Kansas public schools and graduated from Severy Rural High School in 1960.  Shortly after high school, he married Colleen Boles, and to this union were born two chidlren, Steve and Kristi.  The couple started out in the Wichita, Kansas area and just kept moving their family further east and eventually ended up in Fredonia, Kansas in 1971.

Francis worked for LaDow and Spohn for 37 years until his retirement in 2008.  He was a devoted member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church of Fredonia and maintained his faith throughout his life.  He truly enoyed KU Jayhawk basketball, raising his cattle, flea market treasure hunting, and antique shopping with Colleen.  Francis treasured the time he got to spend with both his grandbabies and great-grandbabies.  All of these things brough him immeasurable joy and irreplaceable memories.

Francis is survived by his wife, Colleen of the home; his children, Steve (Shari) Robert of Fredonia, Kansa and Kristi (Don) Lloyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Brandi Robert of Wichita, Kansas, Bret Robert of Derby, Kansas, and Bri Pratt of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his great-grandchidren, Brailynn, Kaydon, Cali, Korben, and Derek; his siblings, Melba Weyrauch, Larry (Kathy) Robert, and Joyce Sayers; his sisters-in-law, Theresa Robert, Ruby Robert, Janie Roberts, and Bernice Robert; and many nieces and nephews.  Preceding Francis in death were his father, Henry Robert who passed away when Francis was only ten years old; his mother, Nellie Robert; his brothers, Eldon Robert, Elwin (Ramona) Robert, Wes Robert, Morris Roberts, and Floyd Robert; his brothers-in-law, Pat Weyrauch and Chuck Sayers; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Flora Boles; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darryl and Carol Boles; and a great-grandson, Jordon.

The family will receive friends at visitation on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, Kansas.  Fruneral service will be held at Calvary Wesleyan Church, 1900 E. Washington,  Fredonia, Kansas on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 2;00 p.m. with interment to follow immediately at Fredonia City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to Calvary Wesleyan Church in Fredonia, Kansas or Neodesha Nazarene Church Youth Ministry  in Neodesha, Kansas.  Contributions can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th Street, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
