Stephen "Steve" Signer, age 70, of Piedmont, Kansas, passed away on March 31, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born September 9, 1951 in Greenwood County, Kansas to Junior and Evelyn (Adler) Signer.

On September 29, 1995, Steve married Sally (Cannon) Hedges of Latham, Kansas.  He had two children from a previous marriage, Shane Signer and Tami Vancil.

In his younger years, Steve could always be found with his cousins, Lyle, Dennis, and Ted.  He enjoyed coyote hunting, fishing, and shooting guns.  He also had a great fondness for country music classics.

Steve worked for many years at the Severy Service Station hauling gas and fixing tires.  He then went to work for Sherwood Construction as a heavy equipment operator.  Finally, he went to work at Severy Co-Op in the tire shop until his retirement. 

Survivors include his wife, Sally of the home; his son, Shane (Denise) Signer of Havana, Kansas; his daughter, Tami (Steve) Vancil of Fall River, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jeremy Vancil, Justin Vancil, Abigail Bohl, Logan (Shelby) Bohl, Jade Vancil, Kayla Signer, Bradley Bohl, Madelyn Signer, and Jaycee Vancil; two great-granddaughters, Kamryn and Brayden Bohl; and his sisters, Patty Craig of Severy, Kasnas and Joetta Darnell of Sedan, Kansas. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Piedmont Community Center on Main Street in Piedmont, Kansas on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2;00 p.m.  Heritage Funeral Home of Andover, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements.
