Edgar Sutton, age 78, of rural Grenola, Kansas, passed away February 9, 2022 at Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  He was born on April 22, 1943 in rural Grenola, Kansas to Harry and Inez (Wonser) Sutton. 

Edgar grew up on the family ranch and graduated from Sedan High School in Sedan, Kansas in 1961.  On July 19, 1975, he married Coco Zenishek at the Roby Ranch near Piedmont, Kansas.  They lived on 5S Ranch near Grenola for many years.  Coco preceded him in death on June 21, 2010.

Edgar was a one-of-a-kind "true cowboy".  In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, roping, and bulldogging.  The past years, he has enjoyed caring for his cattle and his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

Edgar is survived by two daughters, Robyn Sutton of rural Grenola, Kansas and Casee (Jake) Moran of Bentonville, Arkansas; one son, Jake (Dehlia) Sutton of Americus, Kansas; five grandchidlren, Kamden Moran, Lakyn Sutton, Johnsee Sutton, Mary Sutton, and the late Grayson Sutton; one sister, Patsy Rusteburg of St. Louis, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Coco Sutton; granddaughter, Grayson Sutton; sisters, Marjory Gibbs, Louise Chrisman, Mabel Henson, and Dorothy Smith; and brothers, Dale Sutton, Delbert Sutton, Bobby Sutton, and Joe Sutton.

Graveside services were held on February 12, 2022 at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas with Pastor Josh Brown of the Caney River Cowboy Church officiating.  Family has suggested memorials to the Carolyn "Coco" Sutton Memorial Scholarship fund, c/o First National Bank of Sedan, P.O. Box E., Sedan, Kansas 67361.  Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan, Kasnas was entrusted with arrangements.
