Morris married Janie Sue (Peden) Cade on June 27, 1971 at the First Christian Church in Fredonia, Kansas, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past summer.  Morris and Janie built their own home east of Fredonia on eighty acres of land in 1983.  They raised five children, Delinda (Randy) Brecheisen, Monica Farrar, Rodney (Lisa) Robert, Nicholas (Michelle) Robert, and Vickie Johns.  He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Morris loved farming and raised milo, wheat, and soybeans on the eighty acre family farm.  Having cattle since 1971, he would raise fifty steers in the winter to be sold.  A native hay meadow east of the house provided hay for the cattle.  He loved watching KU basketball and was able to attend several games in Lawrence, Kansas.  He also loved his dogs, Mickey and Bandit.  His occupations included Boeing, Beechcraft, and Kansas Bank Note where he retired after thirty-nine years.  He worked several years after retirement cleaning the Assembly of God Church in Fredonia, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Sue; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Larry and Francis; his sisters, Melba and Joyce; and three sisters-in-law, Ruby Robert, Teresa Robert, and Berniece Robert.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nellie, and four brothers, Elwin, Eldon, Wesley, and Floyd.

A memorial remembrance service was held at the Nazarene Church in Neodesha, Kansas on August 28, 2021.  Burial was held at the Fredonia Cemetery in Fredonia, Kansas.  Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Neodesha Church of the Nazarene, and they may be left with or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736 which handled the service arrangements.
