Phillip "Phil" Walker, age 80, passed away at his home in Bel Aire, Kansas on September 2, 2021 from complications of a head injury resulting from a fall.  He was born on Easter Sunday, April 13, 1941, at home in Moline, Kansas to Damain Phillip and Frances Orien (Hill) Walker. 

Phil graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Kansas.  He then earned his Bachelor's degree at Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, Kansas and taught high school for two years in Riverton, Kansas.  He went on to earn his Master's in Business Administration at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.

Phil was a husband, father, Grandpa, Boppa, and brother as well as the retired founder and CEO of WALCO Hydraulics, Inc. in Wichita.   In 1970, he became a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita and in 2013 moved to Church of the Magdalen.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and liked to hunt, fish, and travel.  Phil and Margaret have been in all the lower 48 states in their motor home and also took trips to Alaska and Hawaii. 

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret Ann; his children, Jennifer (Dave) Gell of San Diego, California, Mark (Lon Walton) Walker of Salida, Colorado, Damain (Jen) Walker of Wichita, Kansas, and Maggie, his pup; grandchild, Ashton and Lola Ann Ferguson of San Diego, California and Phillip and Ellis Walker of Wichita, Kansas; his brothers, Billy Walker of Kingman, Arizona and Earl Joe (Shirl) Walker of Shawnee, Kansas; and his sisters, Loreta Ryan, Margie Dunn, and Beth Llafet, all of Parkville, Missouri and Marlene Edgington of Wichita, Kansas. 

Funeral Mass was held on September 10, 2021 at Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas.  Inurnment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  A memorial has been established in honor of their grandchildren, Ashton and Lola Ferguson with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (https://give.cff.org/tribute/philwalker).  Services were entrusted to Downing & Lahey Funeral Home East in Wichita, Kansas.
