Mary "Fern" Boyer, 93, of Augusta, Kansas, passed away September 1, 2021.  She was born in Haverhill, Kansas on April 28, 1928 to Elsie (Lewis) and George Clubine. 

Fern graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Kansas in 1946. She married Charles Phillip Boyer on December 17, 1949 in Moline, Kansas.
She retired from Elk Manor Nursing Home in Moline after working there for many years.  She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Moline, Kansas and was later a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Augusta, Kansas.  Her greatest joy was her family.  She also liked to sew and cook.

Fern is survived by her daughters, Nita (Lennie) Allen of Augusta, Kansas and Nancy (Frank) Barnett of El Dorado, Kansas; grandchildren, Tiffany (Matthew) Teel, Wesly (Morgan) Barnett, Jeremy (Lacey) Barnett, Ashley (Scott) Lienemann, Logan (Jessie) Allen, and Braiden Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia Tharp; and her brother, Dale Clubine of Moline, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, George and Elsie Clubine; her great-grandddaughter, Kaylin Maria Barnett; and her siblings, Warren Clubine, Ben Clubine, Mildred McNown, Robert Clubine, and Phyllis Van Buskirk.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Headley Funeral Chapelm 813 State, Street, Augusta, Kansas.  Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Memorial donations in her memory can be sent to Susan G. Komen, 902 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67214.
