David Icke's Problem-Reaction-Solution paradigm is in full force. So simple, it is mistaken for helping instead of coercing. And half the population buys it, maybe more.

Government creates or exploits a problem. People react by asking the government for help, knowingly or unknowingly sacrificing their rights. The government offers the solution it wanted all along, and was planned long before the crisis.

New problem, American gun owners, i.e. domestic terrorists in the eyes of the Socialists.

Reaction, have the FBI plot with a right-wing group to kidnap a State Governor.

Solution, arrest a dozen or so American gun owners and charge them with terrorism. No charges against the FBO undercover agents that had infiltrated the right-wingers and encouraged/led them.
