George R. Clubine, 77 of Wayne, Okla., died Thursday, Feb. 15, at Midwest City Nursing Home in Midwest City, Okla.  Memorial services are 10 a.m. Monday at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jim McCool officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson-Little funeral Home.

Mr. Clubine was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Leon, Kan., the fifth of eight children born to George B. Clubine and Elsie E. Lewis.  He grew up in Kansas and graduated from Moline High school.  He joined the U. S. Air Force and served his country honorably.  He married Nellie Woodson June 9, 1953 in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Together they raised three daughters, Janet , Charlene and Phyllis.  Mr. Clubine worked for Western Union for 20 years and the University of Oklahoma for many years, where he taught and instructed computer skills and technology.

He married Carole Ann Chandler June 8, 1989, in Purcell.  He was a loving husband and a proud father and grandfather, family members said.  He was a handy man who enjoyed tinkering with electronics and especially computers.  He loved horses and working on his antique red tractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Warren Clubine.  Survivors include his wife, Carole Ann Clubine of Wayne; three daughters Janet Clubine of Midwest City; Charlene Smith and husband Dick of Oklahoma City; and Phyllis Gottchalk of Roschester, Minn.; two brothers Ben Clubine and Dale Clubine and his wife Barbara of Moline; four sisters, Mildred McNown and husband Bud of Augusta; Phyllis Van Buskirk and husband of El Dorado; Fern Boyer of Augusta; and Virginia Tharp of Severy; two grandsons Richard Gottchalk of Rochester, and Gregory Biggers of Midwest City; three great-grandchildren Damon Gottchalk, Caden Gottchalk and Zoey Rain Biggers; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
