Roy Arthur Copenhaver peacefully departed this earth on December 26, 2020 at his home in Longton, Kansas.  He was born to Thomas Clifford and Grace (Stephens) Copenhaver on September 30, 1926 at the family's home in Aline, Oklahoma.

Roy graduated from Dacoma High School.  He was drafted into the United States Army during World War II and served from December 5, 1945 through January 31, 1947, primarily in Korea.  He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal of Honor and the Army of Occupation Medal.

Roy was married to Carmen Edwards ni 1955, Dorothy Hoover in 1970, and later to Sandra George in 1996.  Roy was a lifelong farmer, rancher, and businessman.  He served on various boards and associations.  He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Branson.  He loved to gamble, women, and a good steak.  Even when he could no longer farm himself, he looked foward to taking burgers to the farmhnds and watching the combines.

Roy's memories will live on with his longtime friend and brother-in-law, Mike Goldberg, a bushel of nephews and nieces, and a multitude of friends.  Roy now rests with his parents and his siblings, Hellen, Clifford, Walter, Oscar, John, Jay, and Rachel.
