Karen Swint, 56, of Udall, Kansas, passed away December 31, 2020 at her home.  Born October 1, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Dale Chamberlain and Carolyn Gorges.

Karen was raised and received her education in Eureka, Kansas, graduating from Eureka High School in 1983.  She then attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1987.

Karen was united in marriage to Kurt Swint on May 24, 1986 at Faith Lutheran Church in Emporia, Kansas.  The couple made their first home in Emporia where Karen worked for Lyon County State Bank.  In 1997, they moved to Udall, Kansas, and Karen began working for Cargill.  She remained at Cargill for over 22 years.  She enjoyed reading, needlework, watching Hallmark movies, and traveling.  Her travels took her all over the world including Europe, Las Vegas, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Her family includes her husband, Kurt Swint of Udall, Kansas; her sons, Kyle (Kari) Swint of Wichita, Kansas and Kendall Swint of Nashville, Tennessee; her sister, Mary (Kel) Scott of Leon, Kansas; her stepbrother, Shawn Shepherd of Rock, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Karen was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Dale and Venita Chamberlain of Severy, Kansas; her mother, Carolyn Lilley; her brother, Gary Chamberlain; and her sister-in-law, Theresa Shepherd.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Red Bud Cemetery, 3089 31st Road, Udall, Kansas.  Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service of Winfield, Kansas.
