POPULAR YOUNG COUPLE WED

Dr. S. J. Montgomery and Miss Lucile Spease, both of Howard, were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Sara Spease in this city, Wednesday, June 25, 1930, at 9 a.m., Rev. Wm C. Chappell, pastor of the M. E. church officiating.  Members of the families and a few intimate young friends of the bride witnessed the interesting ceremony and a wedding breakfast was served to the company.

The happy couple left at once for a short trip to Texas in their car.

The bride is one of Howard's prettiest and most popular oung girls, a graduate of Howard High, and is beloved and admired by all who know her.  The past two or three years she has been office asssistant of Dr. F. R. Reid and has been most efficient and faithful.

Dr. Montgomery is a native born Kansan, a successful practitioner of osteopathy and surgery and in the two, or three years he has lived in Howard has made many friends.  He is a young man of culture, refinement and highest character and is popular in the community.

The heartiest congratulations and sincerest good wishes of their many friends are most freely extended to Dr. Montgomery and his fair young bride and it is universally regretted that they have decided to remove from Howard and locate at some point in Texas.  They will be greatly missed.

DR. MONTGOMERY TO  LEAVE HOWARD SOON

The many friends and patrons of Dr. S. J. Montgomery, osteopathic physician were surprised to hear that he has disposed of his practice and office fixtures and will very soon leave Howard.  He will be succeeded by Dr. Robert Buchele, who comes from Durant, Oklahoma, who is already here and in charge of the office.

Dr. Buchele is already known by some of our people, having been here for a few weeks, some years ago in Dr. Burdette's office.

Dr. Montgomery now away with his bride on their honeymoon will return to Howard and close his business affairs before going to his new office location and home in Western Texas.

I remember going to Doc Buchele in the 70's. It seemed that he always had one type of pill and one type of cough syrup. He was also big on vitamin C. Mrs. Buchele was right by his side as the office manager.
