Thomasine Hedrick, age 86, of Seneca, Missouri and formerly of Severy, Kansas, passed away on December 4, 2020 at Seneca House in Seneca, Missouri. She was born in Laredo, Texas to William and Opal (Lay) Keeth.

Thomasine married Roger Hedrick, Jr. on November 27, 1964 in Perryton, Texas, and they made their home in Severy, Kansas.  They were blessed with 41 years together until his passing in 2005.  She then met Charlie Gwartney, and they spent the next several years together as each other's companion.

Thomasine worked for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas for many years.  She was a lifelong fan of OU and was a ticket holder.  She liked to go to the casinos and play slot machine whenever she could.  In her younger years, she loved to dance and told her family stories of dancing with Hank Williams Sr. in the late 1940s when his band would play in Wichita. 

Thomasine is survived by her son, Randy Allen of Rogers, Arkansas; her grandsons, Matt Allen of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Chris Allen of Canehill, Arkansas, and Shawn Allen of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at South Lawn Cemetery in Severy, Kansas.  Memorial contributions can be made to the organization of your choice and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas  67349 has been entrusted with arrangements.
