Roy M. Hutchinson, age 75, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away at his home on October 18, 2020 surrounded by family.  He was born on January 7, 1945 in Renton, Washington to Roy and Ellen (Pratt) Hutchinson.

Roy grew up in Mead, Washington and attended Mead High School near Spokane, Washington.  On June 19, 1967, he married Nancy E. Froese at Bonney Lake, Washington.

Roy started out working for Keysor Alumninum in Spokane.  He was also an over-the-road truck driver for a short time.  He had also worked in the oil fields.  He had been Transportation Supervisor for the West Elk School System in Howard, Kansas and had worked as a bus mechanic in Salina, Kansas.

Roy graduated from the Faith Bible Institute in 2012.  His heart was to help and support pastors.  He was a member of the Ray Avenue Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas.

Roy is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; two daughters, Shawna (Dan) Taylor of Douglass, Kansas and Shelley (Kevin) Duffey of Burlington, Kansas; a son, Jason Hutchinson of Melbourne, Florida; a sister-in-law, Wanda Hutchinson of Clayton, Washington; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Madge Murray; a brother, Fred Mallory Hutchinson; and an infant brother, Fred Malcom Hutchinson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, Kansas.  An additional service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Avenue Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey County Cancer Support Group and can be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 207, Burlington, Kansas which is handling arrangements.
