Ora Aleta "Leta" Huntington, age 75, passed away January 27, 2020 at the Diversicare Health Center in Sedgwick, Kansas.  She was born on March 20, 1944 in Binger, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loren Eugene and Idell Ora (Shuffield) Drake.

Aleta attended schools in Howard, Kansas, graduating from Howard High School in 1961.  On May 6, 1961, she married Bob Huntington in Moline, Kansas, and they later divorced.  After high school, she obtained her Bachelor's degree and worked as a clerk for the Sedgwick County Tag Office for about 30 years.

Leta was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was able to travel the world going on many mission trips with the church.  She was also a member of the Eagles.  Besides traveling and being devoted to her church, Leta loved being with her friends and especially her family.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Huntington of Maize, Kansas; her sister, Frances Elston of Pittsburg, Kansas; her brothers, Eddie (Marilyn) Drake of Derby, Kansas, Loren (Betty) Drake of Dover, Arkansas, and Bobby (Tami) Drake of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cindy; her grandson, Robbie;and her brother, Larry Drake. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating.  Burial will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard.  Memorials have been suggested to the Special Olympics or the Veteran's Honor Flight and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services are entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E.
