Dale Leroy Barnaby, age 73, of Pikeville, Tennessee, passed away July 6, 2019.  He was the son of James Edward and Doris Elva (McDonald) Barnaby. 

Dale grew up in rural Howard, Kansas and attended Howard schools, graduating from Howard High School with the Class of 1965.  He was an Army veteran, and after his military service, he worked as a fork lift driver at Iowa Beef in Emporia, Kansas.  Some of his favorite pasttimes were riding his Harley, working in the flower gardens, and listening to old country music.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Dawn Barnaby; Rick Whitmore, whom he thought of as a son; brothers, Roland (Lorna) Barnaby and Lester Wayne "Les" Barnaby; sisters, Wanetta (Dan) Arnold and Geneva Barnaby; grandchildren, Jesse, Savannah, and Amanda Mobley and Luke Heiliger; special niece, Tracey (Larry) Cousar; special nephew, Randall (Beverly) Benson; significant other, Diana Melander; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,  and cousins;  and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Steven Edward Barnaby and Max Leon Barnaby.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel in Pikeville, Tennessee.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.pikevillefuneralhome.com.  Pikeville Funeral Home of Pikeville, Tennessee was entrusted with arrangements.
