Evelyn Marie Pritchett, age 82, of Eureka, Kansas and previous longtime resident of Howard, Kansas, passed away June 29, 2019 at the Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, Kansas.  She was born August 7, 1936 to Kent Alley and Eva Curry and spent her childhood years in Mooreland, Oklahoma.

At the age of 12, Evelyn moved to Wichita with her mother and stepfather, Eva and John Curry where she later married Marvin Doyle Dunagan in 1953.  To that union came her two daughters, Debra and Donna.  She was widowed three years later.  She then married William "Bill" Pritchett on November 9, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas, and to this union bore John Pritchett.  The United States Air Force afforded them the  opportunity to travel to Guam, the Philippines, and California before returning to Kansas and settling down in Howard, Kansas in 1971 where she remained the rest of her life.

Evelyn was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church.  She worked for the First National Bank in Howard, Kansas.  She enjoyed helping others and served as a secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary, delivered Meals on Wheels for the Senior Center, and spent time sewing with women from church to donate stockings and pillowcases for a good cause.  Her greatest joy was her family.

Evelyn is survived by her three children, Debra (Bill) Schoenberger, Donna (Carl) Eby, and John (Lee) Pritchett; her brother, Will Alley; her sister, Wilma Federle; and her seven grandchildren, David, Laura, Sarah, Katy, Adam, Jordon, and Joshua along with her five great-grandchildren, Karleigh, Macy, Clara, Colby, and Clark, all who loved her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kent Alley and Eva and John Curry; her loving husband, William H. "Bill" Pritchett; her brother, Wilbur Dean Alley; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Eby.

A memorial service for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Howard, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Howard or the Howard Senior Center.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E.
