Kandi Lakai Peacock, age 42, passed away on November 24, 2018 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kansas.  She was born on December 18, 1975 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Jim and Barbara (Light) Smith.

Kandi was  1994 graduate of Eureka High School in Eureka, Kansas and had two years of nursing training to earn her LPN.  She had been employed by El Dorado Correctional and later for Westview Manor.  She was united in marrisge to Ryan Peacock on September 26, 2009 in Towanda, Kansas.  She enjoyed doing crafts, helping anyone she could help, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the H2O Church in Towanda and enjoyed worshipjng there very much.

Her greatest joy was her family which includes her husband, Ryan of Towanda, Kansas; her parents, Jim and Barbara Smith of Eureka, Kansas; her children, Shaun and Kurtis Anderson of El Dorado, Kansas and Katelyn and Kimberly Peacock of Towanda, Kansas; her sister, Brandi Toney of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.  An infant sister preceded her in death.

Services were held at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado, Kansas, and burial was in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.carlsoncolonlal.com.    Memorial contributions in Kandi's nme my be directed to Carlson Funeral Home, 200 S. Kandi (Smith) Peacock was the daughter of Jim and Barbara (Light) Smith, formerly of Howard, Kansas and the granddaughter of the late Joe and Bertha Light and DeEtta Beaumont-Lee, all of Howard.
