Jeanna Faye Culbertson, age 52, of Fall River, Kansas, passed away December 28, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Hospital in Chanute, Kansas.  She was born in Fredonia, Kansas on January 19, 1966, the daughter of Clarence E. and Cathy (Joy) McCarty.

On November 3, 1981, Jeanna married Mitchell Culbertson in Fredonia.  They were married for 37 years, and Mitch survives at their home.  Jeanna worked as a bank teller at the Fall River State Bank in Fall River, Kansas.

Jeanna enjoyed reading, working in the garden, and growing all different types of flowers.  She liked to sew, listen to music, have a nice cup of coffee, and really enjoyed chocolate.  She was a loving and forgiving person.  Most of all, Jeanna loved her family and friends.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Mitch of the home include four children, Jayme McClain and husband, Jacob of Bossier City, Louisiana, Heather Chambers and husband, Alex of Fredonia, Kansas, Aron Culbertson and wife, Stephanie of St. Paul, Minnesota, and David Culbertson of Fredonia, Kansas; her father, Clarence E. McCarty of Fredonia, Kansas; and siblings,  Regina McCarty of Benedict, Kansas, Kacy McCarty of Neodesha, Kansas, Travis McCarty of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael Smith of Fall River, Kansas, Martha Cohee, and Billy Cohee; three grandsons; and a granddaughter on the way.  Jeanna was preceded by her biological mother and Grandmother, Lola McCarty.

At Jeanna's request, there will be a closed-casket funeral held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, Kansas with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Fall River, Kansas.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials have been suggested to "Jeanna's Journey" and may be left with or mailed to the the funeral home.,  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th Street, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
