Velma Ilene Camp, 87, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on December 19, 2018.  She was born to George and Viola Watson on June 13, 1931 at home on a farm one mile west of Sedan, Kansas.

Ilene attended schools in Sedan, Kansas and Moline, Kansas and graduated from Moline High School in 1949.  She was married to Leo Camp on August 23, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Sedan.  They made their home in Belknap in Chautauqua County where they farmed, raised cattle and hogs, and had a feed business.  Ilene was active in the community church, 4-H, EHU, and other neighborhood organizations.

Survivors include her son, Steven Camp and Deb of Wichita, Kansas; her daughter, Jolene Olson Camp of Wichita, Kansas; her sister, Myrna and Bill Shanks of Mounds, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ben Camp and Tera of Augusta, Kansas and Shelby Camp and Taylor Camp of Wichita, Kansas; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb and Colton Camp of Augusta, Kansas and Sophia Camp of Wichita, Kansas.  Ilene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; and her son, Mitchell Camp.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sedan, Kansas with Chaplain Steve Ward officiating.  Burial will be held at Belknap Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.  Arrangements are being handled by Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas.
