Stoney Lee Sherman of Moline, Kansas passed away on November 12, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 49.  He was born on April 25, 1969 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Lester and Phyllis (Roberts) Sherman.

Stoney was raised in Eureka, Kansas and graduated from Eureka Junior-Senior High School with the Class of 1990.  After his schooling, he began working for New Beginnings and eventually began living at the group home in Moline. 

Stoney is survived by his parents, Phyllis and Irl Chastain of Eureka, Kansas and Lester and Mary Sherman of Las Vegas, Nevada and his siblings, Tamala McMillen of Plano, Texas and Sean Sherman of Seattle, Washington.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka, Kansas with Ms. Krista Moreno officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation hours are set from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to New Beginnings.  Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, 121 N. Oak Street, Eureka, Kansas 67045 which is overseeing arrangements.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.koupfunerals.com.
