Nichole Sumter-Kill, age 38, of rural Howard, Kansas passed away September 12, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was born on May 22, 1980 in Independence, Kansas to Scott R. Sumter and Carol R. Hull.

Nichole graduated from West Elk High School in Howard, Kansas with the Class of 1998.  She worked at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas as a CNA and nurse's aide for a brief time as well as at Sedan City Hospital.  She had also worked as an EMT at Sedan Area EMS.  She was currently working at LMI Aerospace in Fredonia, Kansas at the time of her death.

Nichole enjoyed painting and drawing.  She took pride in her makeup and hair, and she loved harassing her nieces, nephews, and her dog.

Nichole is survived by her daughters, Asha Morgan Lee Rozell and Arika Malise Rozell; her furbaby, Remmy; her parents, Carol Kill and Lynn Kill of rural Elk County and Chautauqua County, Kansas; her father, Scott Sumter of Glencoe, Oklahoma; one brother, Travis Kill and wife, Lynette of rural Sedan, Kansas; two sisters, Amanda Allen of Howard, Kansas and Aspen Kill-Haden and her husband, Cody of Cedar Vale, Kansas.  She was loved and supported by numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and will be remembered fondly by them.

Church service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grenola Christian Church in Grenola, Kansas.  Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.  Friends and family may sign the register book on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.  The family has requested the casket be closed.  Memorials have been suggested to help with the funeral expenses or to any charity focused on the prevention of women's domestic violence.
