The progressive/leftist push for infringing the right to keep and bear arms has no constitutional legs to stand on and still less of a natural rights basis. It has no pragmatic basis either, but that's another story. All it has is misdirected emotion.

Wake-up!

Rozeff does not mention the most important word in the Second Amendment . . . . SHALL. See Conveying a Sense of Importance or Duty with Will and Shall at http://www.grammar-monster.com/easily_confused/shall_will.htm  While the link summarizes that the distinction is not important today, that was not so when the Bill of Rights was written. Shall is properly used in its 'imperative' form. The use of SHALL in the Second Amendment is an order to all government at all levels, an order that infringement is NOT an option.

And although the gun issue is, as Rozeff says, strictly an emotional issue, the pragmatic side, that he downplays, may be the only way to win this 'war of words'.

Local jurisdictions are defiantly ignoring the law. See what is happening in Deerfield Illinois at; https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-04-06/illinois-town-bypasses-constitution-us-citizens-given-60-days-turn-guns-or-become

The City and County thugs that try to impose their will on others need to be arrested and jailed. I see no other long-term solution.
The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.

The greatest mistake in American history was letting government educate our children.
