Harold Dean "H.D." Mills, age 81, owner of H.D. Mills and Sons/Southwest Salvage, passed away November 8, 2017.  He was born on May 27, 1936 in Moline, Kansas to Orville Edgar Mills and Audrey Gertrude (Wolverton) Mills.  He was united in marriage on September 24, 1953 to Joyce J. Murphy in Kansas City, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; sons, Randy (Jane) Mills, Russell (Joni) Mills, and Greg (Shari) Mills, all of Clearwater, Kansas, and Mark (Lori) Mills of Peck, Kansas; sister, Pat Custer of Moline, Kansas; sister-in-law, Wanda Lee Mills of Moline, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  H.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Orville "Sparky" and Audrey Mills; siblings, Dorothy Woods, Gene Mills, Beryle Mills, Margie Clyde, Rodger Mills, Calvin Mills, Jack Mills, Betty Wilson, and Dane Mills; and a great-granddaughters, Sydney Cash.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with family present from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Chapel, 200 S. Tracy, Clearwater, Kansas.  Services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church in Clearwater, Kansas.  Interment will follow at Clearwater Cemetery.  Memorials have been suggested to the First Christian Church, 524 Wood, Clearwater, Kansas 67026 or Union Rescue Mission, 2800 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219.
