Carey Annette Triboulet, age 61, of Moline, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Eureka, Kansas on February 21, 1956 to Ivan and Vera Mae (Adams) Conard and was welcomed home by her older brother, Herbert Cole.

Carey attended Severy Grade School in Severy, Kansas until the consolidation of schools resulting in being part of the first graduating class of West Elk High School in 1974.  After high school, Carey attended Emporia State University for one year and then continued her studies at Saint Francis School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas where she graduated in 1977 as a Registered Nurse.

On September 18, 1977, Carey married the love of her life, Edward DeWayne Triboulet.  They made their home in Moline, Kansas where they raised a son, Thad Edward Triboulet and a daughter, Megan Mae Triboulet. 

Carey was a beloved member of the community and was involved in many organizations over the past years.  She was an active member of MEG while her kids were in elementary school, Moline Methodist Church, Moline Chamber of Commerce, but her true passion was the Moline City Library.  She worked as an Elk County Health Department nurse from 1977 to 1984 until her health forced her to retire early.  Carey received a heart transplant on April 24, 1996.  She loved painting, doing arts and crafts, and baking.  She knew how to live life to the fullest and touched many lives with her kindness and determination.

Carey is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward DeWayne "Ed" Triboulet of Moline, Kansas; her son Thad Triboulet and wife, Melissa of Moline, Kansas; her daughter, Megan Stephenson and husband, Thomas of Augusta, Kansas; three beautiful grandchildren, Lillian, Taran, and Ruby; her brother, Herbert Cole and wife, Jeannie of Severy, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moline Methodist Church in Moline, Kansas with Dena Allison and Alan Hunter officiating.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.davisfh.net.  Memorial contributions  may be made to the Moline Public Library, 107 N. Main Street, Moline, Kansas 67353.  Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma.

 :'(  Once again, one of the best is taken.  I am unbelievably sorry to hear that Carey is no longer with us.  She always had a smile and a kind word, regardless of who it was she was talking to...And could be totally blunt at the same time.  I loved that about her. :-)  Prayers going up for Ed and the children, as well as the extended family.
