Susan Irene Mills passed away September 26, 2017 at the South Ridge Village Nursing Home in Herber Springs, Arkansas.  She was born on February 26, 1940 in Chautauqua County, Kansas to Clarence and Katie Knabe.

Sue attended school in Moline, Kansas.  She married Jack Mills in 1958, and they moved to Overland Park, Kansas where she worked for J.C. Penney.  They then moved to Wichita, Kansas where she worked for Helzberg Diamonds before retiring in 2000.

Sue is survived by her son, Stacy Mills of Herber Springs, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Brandon and McKenzie of Herber Springs, Arkansas; four sisters, Betty Sallee of Moline, Kansas, Mary Riney of Denver, Colorado, Katheryn Doshier of Wichita, Kansas, and Martha Cooley of Moline, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Knabe of Denver, Colorado; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; two sons, Jeffrey and Scott; her parents, Clarence and Katie Knabe; her brother, George Knabe; and her sister, Bonnie Knabe.

Memorial services were held on October 7, 2017 at the Moline Christian Church in Moline, Kansas.  Memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E. Douglas Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67214.
