Jerry Norman Howell, age 93, formerly of Grenola, Kansas, passed away September 19, 2017 in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born on January 3, 1924 in Longton, Kansas, the son of Clarence Norman and Vyrl Corrine (Davis) Howell.

Jerry served his country in World War II in the Army Air Force where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.  He married Susan Louise (Terry) Howell on March 21, 1953 in Bentonville, Arkansas.  They had three children, James, Martin, and Cheri.  Jerry worked for 30 years at Boeing as a machinist, and in his younger days, he loved to hunt and fish.  He lived in Grenola, Kansas almost 60 years.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Louise Howell; his son, Martin (Pamela) Howell of Wichita, Kansas; his daughter, Cheri Howell of Winfield, Kansas; his grandson, Justin (Rhonda) Howell of Wichita, Kansas; and his great-granddaughters, Rachel and Roslyn Howell.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, James Ellis Howell.

There are no services planned at this time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
