Zelma Sharlene Trammel, age 90, of Moline, Kansas, passed away on August 16, 2017 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  She was born on June 4, 1927 in Peru, Kansas to Willis E. "Ebb" and Susie Ann (Carinder) Williams.  She was a twin and one of seven children.

Sharlene spent most of her youth traveling with her family from state to state following the fruit and vegetable harvests.  She graduated from Caney High School in Caney, Kansas in 1947.

On June 18, 1949, Sharlene married John T. Trammel.  To this union were born three children.  Sharlene and her family moved to Moline in 1960.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Moline Christian Church.  She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, country music, dancing, spending time with her family and friends and her beloved Maltese, Missy, and most of all, pulling weeds. 

Sharlene is survived by her daughter, Joyce Wonser of the home in Moline, Kansas; her grandchildren, Steven Garrison of Moline, Kansas, Jason Portenier of Missouri, John Van Royen of Burden, Kansas, Michael Trammel of Kentucky, and Justin Trammel and Stephanie Doty of Wichita, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Alex Portenier of Arkansas City, Kansas, Cali Portenier, of Lawrence, Kansas, Brittany Van Royen of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Raven Garrison of Moline, Kansas, Justine and Michael of Wichita, Kansas, Nicole Ledbetter of Independence, Kansas, Isaiah Mahon of Burden, Kansas, Haley Morgan of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Jonathon Trammel of Kentucky; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Vern Steitler of Claremore, Oklahoma and Pearley Ridgeway of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one brother, Dale and wife, Merideth Williams of Arkansas City, Kansas; and numerous nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, Johnny Trammel; her daughter, Debbie; her parents; one brother, Willis Elbert "Bud: Williams; and two sisters, her twin, Thelma Evelene Lumley and Marjorie Dildine.

Family and friends may call on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Moline Christian Church in Moline, Kansas from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Church services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Moline Christian Church with Pastor Stan Rumbaugh officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Niotaze, Kansas.  The family has suggested memorials to the Journey Home Hospice in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and contributions may be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361 which is in charge of arrangements.
