Cornelia Ilene "Sally" Lambert, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 3, 2017.  She was born prematurely on June 29, 1930 in Grenola, Kansas in her parents' home.  She was the daughter of Ellis "Horsefly" and Elma Lucille (McCarney) Logsdon.

Sally graduated from high school in Grenola and studied music education at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas where she sang on the radio in the 1940s.  She then attended the Registered Nurses program at St. Mary's Hospital in Winfield but had to leave to take care of an ill family member.

Sally was united in marriage to her loving husband, Errol "Red" Lambert on October 4, 1952.  Later as a working mother, she commuted to Wichita to complete her nursing education.  She loved working as a geriatric nurse at Good Samaritans in Winfield for many years.  She enjoyed keeping lovely flower gardens, taking care of her beautiful home, building beautiful doll houses, being a church volunteer, socializing with her neighbors, and mothering everyone that came into her life.  Sally will always be remembered as a humble, thoughtful, modest, and unassuming person who was cherished by all who knew her.

Sally is survived by her daughters, Maryln Golub and husband, Rick and Jaylene Lambert; her brother, Merlyn Logsdon and wife, Marge; her grandchildren, Julia Tucker Blankenship, Elliott Tucker (Cristian), Molly Golub Brown (Toby), Oliver Tucker (Mirea), Andrew Golub, Sean Golub, Anastasia Lambert, and Sebastian Lambert; 7 great-grandchildren; and several brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ellis "Junior" Logsdon and Rolland "Jock" Logsdon; her sister, Mary Pippin; her sister-in-law, Grace Lambert; her brother-in-law, Doug Lambert; and her son-in-law, Stan Novak.

Memorial services were held on June 11, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Winfield, Kasns.  Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Grace Episcopal's "Non-Denominational NGO Community Room Development Project".  Inurnment was at Grace Episcopal Church.  Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield, Kansas was in charge of arrangements.
