Richard Lindzen mentions the monopolization of science, arguing that science has become a tool to push forth political, economic, and financial agendas.

A few politicians have also been making this argument. One example is the Australian Prime Minister's chief business adviser, who believes that climate change is a "ruse" led by the United Nations to create a New World Order. He claims that the UN is using false models which show sustained temperature increases in order to impose authoritarian rules.
