Linda Sue Seamans, 64, of Elk City, Kansas, passed away June 5, 2017 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas.  She was born June 24, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of George Ross and Melba Leota (Baughman) Smith.

Linda attended schools in Longton, Kansas and graduated from Longton High School in 1970.  On June 29, 1973, she was united in marriage to Charles Seamans in Topeka, Kansas.  They made their home in Oak Valley, Kansas before moving to Elk City, Kansas for the past thirty-three years. 

Linda loved to read, play games on her Kindle Fire tablet, animals of all kind, especially her dogs, but most of all she loved to spend time with her loving family and her grandbabies.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Charles of the home; her mother, Melba Leota Smith; her stepsons, Chris Seamans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Shawn Seamans of Grove, Oklahoma; her stepdaughter, Melody Sutherland of Southwest City, Missouri; her brothers, Willie Smith and wife, Regina of Howard, Kansas and Milo Smith and wife, Karleen of Towanda, Kansas; her sisters, Fonetta Keith and husband, James of Rose Hill, Kansas and Mary Ann Moore and husband, Randy of Longton, Kansas; her brothers-in-law, Gary Floyd and wife, Marsha of Howard, Kansas, Robert Seamans and wife, Nora of Theresa, New York, and James Seamans of Cayuga, New York; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Linda is preceded in death by her father, George Ross Smith; her sister, Waunita Floyd; and a grandson, Corey Christopher Goad.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Elk City Nazarene Church in Elk City, Kansas.  Burial will be held at the Longton City Cemetery in Longton, Kansas.  Memorials may be made in the name of Linda Sue Seamans to AWOL of Independence, Kansas and may be left with Potts Chapel, 122 South Penn Avenue, Independence, Kansas 67301 which is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be left by going to www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
