POLLARD, Phyllis Jean (Edgington) - b. May 31, 1929 - d. March 6, 2017

Phyllis Jean Pollard of Lewisville, Texas passed away on March 6, 2017 at the age of 87.  She was born in Moline, Kansas on May 31, 1929 to Winifred and Roy Edgington.

Phyllis attended school in Moline and enjoyed returning for class reunions as often as she could.  She married Glenn Pollard on November 26, 1947, and they lived in Texas most of their 67 years of marriage.  Although her primary role was wife, mother, and homemaker, Phyllis also worked at a daycare and in the Lewisville schools for 13 years.  Phyllis and Glenn were members of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas, Texas for more than 60 years.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Glenn Pollard; her sons, Steve Pollard and wife, Sheryl of Waxahachie, Texas and David Pollard and wife, Julie of Lewisville, Texas; her sister, Irene Wilson-Scheuerman and husband, Virgil Scheuerman of Winfield, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Marlene Edgington of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Joshua Pollard, Jonathan Pollard, Amanda Cox, Jessica Pollard Hassell, Lexi Pollard Horvath, and Jordan Pollard; and her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, Landon, Harrison, and Evelyn.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Edgington.

A memorial service was held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas followed by burial at Old Hall Cemetery.
