Roger Allen Indermill, age 72, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  He was born March 23, 1944 in Eureka, Kansas to Wesley Franklin and Ella Maye (Griffith) Indermill.

Roger grew up in Howard, Kansas, attending the Howard schools.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1966, being stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Okinawa, Taiwan, Japan, and the Dominican Republic.  He attained the rank of Corporal.

On May 12, 1966, Roger was united in marriage to Linda Carroll Morphew in Moline, Kansas.  They lived in Harrisonville, Missouri for many years where they raised their two daughters and Roger was employed by Consolidated Freightways.  Linda preceded him in death in 1992.  In 1994, he married Linda (Sharp) Loebeck.  They later divorced.  He married Jean (Henderson) Hallgrimson in 2006.

Roger was an adventurous hunter and fisherman who loved to travel.  He had been involved as a volunteer with the Missouri Department of Conservation assisting with managed hunts for hunters with disabilities.  This allowed mobility-impaired hunters to get outside, enjoy nature, and have the opportunity to hunt.  He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; his daughter, Dana Taylor of Harrisonville, Missouri; two brothers, Wesley Leroy Indermill of Marlinton, West Virginia and Rodney Indermill of Edmond, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tyler Foreman, Jessica Indermill-Schultz, Danielle Taylor, and Justin Taylor; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Taylor.  He is also survived by four stepchildren, Cindy Armstrong, Brenda Dobbins, Chris Hallgrimson, and Greg Hallgrimson; 12 step-grandchildren; and 8 step -great - grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda; his daughter, Tracie Dawn Indermill; and his infant brother, Rex Gene Indermill.

Graveside military services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Steven White, Combat Veteran Motorcycles Association 4-1, 1708 SW 14th Street, Blue Springs, Missouri 64015-5308.  Checks may be made payable to CVMA 4-1.  Davis Funeral Chapel, Inc. of Leavenworth, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
