John Joseph Kill, age 80, retired Southwestern Bell employee, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016.  He was the son of Frederick Alexander "Fred" Kill and Wilma (Ritchards) Kill-Weyrauch. 

Survivors include his son, Jeff (Deborah) Kill of Rose Hill, Kansas; daughters, Vicki (Troy) Phillips and Kim (Mark) Smith, both of Derby, Kansas; sister, Teresa "Terri" Bleil of Nixa, Missouri; grandchildren, Matthew (Bethany) Phillips, Amy (Zak) Windsor, Carissa (James) Beckner, Chris (Tara) Smith, Jeremy (Kana) Smith, Zach Kill,  Aaron Kill, Kelsey Kill; and seven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; parents, Fred & Wilma Kill; his brothers, Fred and Rick; and his sister, Ruth Poteete. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Pleasantville Baptist Church, 1335 N. Buckner, Derby, Kansas.  A memorial has been established with Heartland Hospice, 2872 N. Ridge Road, #122, Wichita, Kansas 67205.  View tributes at www.smithfamily mortuaries.com.
