Dale Eugene Mast of Severy, Kansas died on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas at the age of 89.  He was born on January 31, 1927 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Arthur L. and Alice C. (Beer) Mast.

Dale was raised in Emporia and Fall River, Kansas, attending Fall River schools.  He served with honor and dignity in the United States Army.  He began ranching and farming at a young age and moved to Beaumont, Kansas.  On March 31, 1962, Dale was united in marriage to Beulah (Miller) Murray in Eureka, Kansas.  They made their home in Severy on the farm.

Dale is survived by his wife, Beulah of the home; four children, Gary Murray of Springfield, Missouri, Larry Murray of Grove, Oklahoma, Debbie Froman of Billings, Montana, and Ron Mast of Severy, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Letha Burrus of Eureka, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Koup Family Funeral Homem 121 N. Oak Street, Eureka, Kansas 67045 with Pastor Alan Hunter of the Howard Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka.  Visitation hours are set from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the West Elk High School Vo-Ag Scholarship Fund.  Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home which is in charge of service arrangements.  Condolences may be left for the family online at www.koupfunerals.com.
