Kenneth Stewart "Kenny" Klepper, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his home in Severy, Kansas.  He was born August 23, 1935 in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Kenneth Earl and Bonita Pearl (Stewart) Klepper. 

One of eleven children, Kenny started building things as a child, such as aluminum can toy cars, and by the time he was in 8th grade, he had built a tractor which he drove to school.  His passion and talent developed from there, and eventually he was the owner and operator of Ken's Welding and Fabrication in Severy, Kansas.

On June 4, 1960, Kenny married Lois Ellen Shugart at the Severy United Methodist Church in Severy, Kansas.  Kenny and Lois raised three children, Kevin, Shelly, and Quentin who describe their father as a never quitting hard worker and a great dad and grandpa.  Kenny also thought of his son-in-law, Chris, as a son whom with his wife, Shelly, now runs the family business. Kenny was a hard working, family loving, Godly man that loved much and was loved much.  He was a great example to many. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Lois; his son, Kevin and Quentin of Severy, Kansas; his daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Chris, of Severy, Kansas; sisters, Jenett and Kenny Reed of Pawnee City, Nebraska, Beverly Crews of Georgetown, Texas, Becki and Bob Smith of Pawnee City, Nebraska, and Cathy and Terry Schafer of DuBois, Nebraska; brothers, Herb Klepper of Pawnee City, Nebraska, Richard and Sandy Klepper of Oscola, Nebraska, Jon and Cheryth Klepper of DuBois, Nebraska, Keith and Joyce Klepper of Surprise, Arizona, and Mike and Linda Klepper of Sabetha, Kansas; his eleven prides and joys, his grandchildren; and his eleven great-grandchildren.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.  Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Annette Hinrichsen, and his grandson, Christopher Klepper.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Funeral services will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Severy United Methodist Church in Severy, Kansas with Pastor Stacy Ellsworth officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Memorials may be made in Kenneth's name to West Elk V-Tech Scholarship Fund and may be left with or sent to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349 which is in charge of arrangements..
