Dorothy Maxine (Townsley) Christmas, a former resident of Howard, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas, was found deceased in her home in Everett, Washington on June 12, 2016, having died of natural causes at the age of 86.  She was the oldest child born to Glen R. and  Eunice Marie (Van Buskirk) Townsley in Howard, Kansas on June 2, 1930. 

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ramsten of Logan, Utah; five grandchildren; Clifton Ramsten of Spanaway, Washington, Richard Ramsten of Oren, Utah, Crystal Hobbs of Tremonton, Utah, Jonathan Ramsten of Logan, Utah, and Rachel Ramsten of Logan, Utah; 8 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jim Townsley of Severy, Kansas, John Townsley of Oswego, Kanas, Barbara (Kim) Gilbert of Wichita, Kansas, Lucille Jean Wene of Grove, Oklahoma, Robert Townsley of Moline, Kansas, and Frank Townsley of Independence, Kansas.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Floyd Christmas; and her eldest daughter, Shirley Maxine Christmas.

Her ashes will be inurned in her eldest daughter's grave in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
