Arlene Faye Taylor, 85, passed away July 18, 2016.  She was born on June 8, 1931 in South Haven, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Bessie Richardson. 

Arlene married Dale Taylor on June 20, 1948 in Howard, Kansas, and they were married for 57 years until his passing on July 2, 2004.  She later lived in Derby, Kansas and Scott City, Kansas. 

Arlene loved genealogy and drives in the country.  She also like traveling to Branson, Missouri, going to Creed family reunions, and telephone visits and remembering the past.  She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playful teasing with family and friends.

Arlene is survived by sons, Lawrence "Larry" (Marcia) Taylor of Scott City, Kansas and Terry (Pearl) Taylor of Haysville, Kansas; grandchildren, Patty and Anthony Woolery of Hutchinson, Kansas, Heather and Adam Carver of Burlington, Kansas, Ben and Megan Taylor of Scott City, Kansas, and Robin and Ed Gaskill of Wichita, Kansas; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Taylor; her parents; and her brother, Clyde Richardson. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 and funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Condolences may be left online at www.dignitymemorial.com.
