Jerry Eugene Kimzey age 82, went to be with his Lord on June 16, 2016. He was born March 31, 1934 in Longton, Kansas to Carl and Rosalie (Marquardt) Kimzey.

Jerry married Melba Condon at Elk Falls, Kansas on December 25, 1954.  He retired from Cessna in 1997 after 42 years of service in sheet metal assembly.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Melba Kimzey; daughters, Teresa "Michelle" Moore (Mike), Charlene Alexander, and Jerri Smith; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVada Smoot (Carl), and Evelyn Catron; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kimzey.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl "Leroy" Kimzey; and his brother-in-law, Bob Catron.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 1:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Midway Baptist Church, 5135 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas.  Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Longton Cemetery near Longton, Kansas.  Memorials have been established with The Gideons International, P.O. Box 767, Derby, Kansas 67037 or Heartland Hospice, 2872 N. Ridge Road, Unit #122, Wichita, Kansas 67205.  Smith Family Mortuaries of Derby, Kansas  is in charge of arrangements.
