Inez Louise Chrisman, age 80, of Sedan, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born on February 1, 1936 in Leeds, Kansas to Harry Sutton and Inez (Wonser) Sutton.

Louise grew up in the Leeds area in rural Chautauqua County, Kansas before graduating from Sedan High School in 1954.  On October 6, 1955, she married Ross Chrisman in Sedan, Kansas, and to this union was born three daughters.  They made their home in Sedan before moving to Howard, Kansas where they raised their family.  Ross worked in the oil and pipeline industry which took them to various places before retiring and settling back in in Sedan in the late 1990s.  They were currently residing at Lakepoint Nursing Center in Augusta, Kansas.

Louise was a homemaker for several years before working as a waitress and cook at the Daylight Doughnut Shop and Donna's Cafe in Howard.  Upon relocating to Sedan, Louise was a cook, waitress, and pie maker at Toot's drive-In in Howard.

Louise is survived by her husband, Ross Chrisman of Augusta, Kansas; two daughters, Debra L. Roebuck and husband, Jim of Howard, Kansas and Cindy L. Chrisman of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Edgar Sutton of rural Grenola, Kansas; two sisters, Mabel Henson and husband, Louis of Sedan, Kansas and Pat Rusteberg and husband, Norb of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandsons, Zacharie Mast of Severy, Kansas, Cody Mast of Moline, Kansas, and Chad Mast, Kurtis Roebuck, and Tyler Roebuck of Howard, Kansas; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.  Louise was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki L. Chrisman; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and her parents.

Church services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Sedan, Kansas with Pastor Susan Galvan of Howard, Kansas officiating.  Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.  The family has suggested memorials to the West Elk High School Athletic Fund and may be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361 which is in charge of arrangements.
