Bruce Dale Fickle, 87, of Howard, Kansas, passed away April 20, 2016 at Winfield Rest Haven in Winfield, Kansas.  He was born May 4, 1928 in rural Howard, Kansas to Herman and Ruth (Goss) Fickle.

Bruce graduated from Howard High School in 1946.  After graduation, he joined the United States Army and served his country.  On January 21, 1950, he married Wanda Nadine Loyd, and they were married 66 years.  Bruce was a farmer and loved to hunt and trap.  His greatest joy though, was spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Fickle of the home; children, Bruce Dale Fickle, Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Raymond Lynn Fickle and wife, Pam of Towanda, Kansas, Karen Ann Gibson of Towanda, Kansas, Randy Gene Fickle and wife, Angie of Norwich, Kansas, and Sharon Sue Moore and husband, Don of Winfield, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Thomas Fickle.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas.  Visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to New Beginnings at Moline, Kansas or Rivercross Hospice.
