Is  anyone in Elk County smart enough to save money and invest it to ease the tax burden on their children and grand children? Or do you care about their future? Or do you have something against Children ? I was asked that question, now it's your turn to answer!

Or do just you want to continue to be the highest taxed county in Kansas and persue down the path of Socialism?

Take them to the Howard pool. You and they both will enjoy it.

Why did you move to the "highest taxed county in Kansas" in the first place?

I'm not sure what Ross had to say, but that is a very good question.

And you think that is better than looking out for their financial well being?
There are far better places to go swimming ?

school.

I was unaware of the taxation in Elk County. But I happened to like the piece of property I purchased and the central location to shopping and hospitals and the fact that Moline had a grade.

Who would have thought elected officials would have been dumb enough to shut down a perfectly good school. And to continue to raise property taxes so irrationally and waste money so foolishly?
I bet you have no idea how much money West Elk School Board has wasted?
Or that perhaps that is the reason it cost $25,000.00 per year, per child, per school year?
It is not all for education ! Just think about that for more than a minute !

Are you suggesting the Caney River?

W Gray-

Do you consider yourself to be a liberal or ultra-conservative?

Mr, Gray I made no such suggestion, simply that there are better places to go swimming other than the Howard swimming pool. And it is apparent to me people that live here know where those places are and are using them. Otherwise the Howard pool would be used to full capacity and making money rather than being subsidized by Howard tax money.

But you failed to answer the important question and I quote:

And you think that is better than looking out for their financial well being?

What is more important to you?

Giving money away in this socialistic manner or looking out for children?

And I was speaking of the children, grand children and great grand children's financial future.

And you respond by asking ?

Reminds me of the guy who found a nice little place for his family and promptly negotiated to buy. In his haste he disregarded that a short distance from that house happened to be a high fence and a jet runway. He and his family spent one night in the house and the next day he started screaming to the airport and everyone else in the area about all that loud noise. He cried "Who would have thought those planes could be so loud." No one would listen, though.
