Eric Lynn "Rick" Wilson, 61,  former resident of Moline, Kansas,  passed away at his home in Wichita, Kansas on February 27, 2016.  He was born on April 26, 1954 in Sedan, Kansas to loving parents, John G. "Jack" Wilson Sr. and Irene (Edgington) Wilson.

Rick attended Moline High School and graduated in 1972.  He proudly served his country for 15 years and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps as well as serving in the National Guard.  He worked at Cessna Aircraft Company in the Manufacturing Department and also did aircraft maintenance at McConnell Air Force Base.  Rick was a hard worker and spent his free time doing the things he loved - fishing, traveling, going to Graceland, listening to Elvis Presley, eating dinner, and spending quality time with his cherished family.

Surviving to honor his memory are his mother, Irene Scheuerman and stepfather, Virgil Scheuerman of Winfield, Kansas; brothers, John G. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Theresa of Sedan, Kansas and James "Mike" Wilson and his wife, Diana of Caney, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father, John G. "Jack" Wilson Sr. who passed in 1980; his grandparents; and an uncle.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.  Memorial funds have been established in Eric's name with the Moline Alumni Association and the Wounded Warriors Project.  Contributions may be left with Shelley Family Funeral Home, 803 Loomis Street, Winfield, Kansas 67156 which is  entrusted with the arrangements.
