Coral Fern McBeth, 84, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away January 31, 2016 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas.  Born August 27, 1931 in Eureka, Kansas, she was the daughter of Ellis and Wilma (Miller) Miller.

Coral was raised and received her education in the Piedmont, Kansas area and later in Augusta, Kansas where she graduated from Augusta High School.  She was united in marriage to Don McBeth in November of 1948.  The couple made their home in Augusta, Kansas for many years.  Coral worked as the Transportation Director for Butler County Senior Service.  Don preceded her in death.

Coral was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winfield, Kansas and the Winfield Gardennaires as well as the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered numerous hours working at the snack bar.  When living in Augusta, Coral was active with the Girl Scout troops.  She enjoyed gardening and volunteering for the state archaeological digs.  She especially loved to read.

Her family includes her daughter, Gena Miller and husband, Mark of Augusta, Kansas; her sisters, Ruth Scates and Jo Schack, both of Wichita, Kansas; her brother, Jim Miller of Missouri City, Texas; her grandchildren, Shawn Miller of Augusta, Kansas and Stefni Hebb of Howard, Kansas; her great-grandchildren, Sady Hasting and Dakota Newcombe, both of Augusta, Kansas and Devin and Travis Hebb, both of Howard, Kansas; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Rhonda, David, Wayne, Cliff, Brad, Troy, Devin, Dylan, and Tracy, and many others.  In addition to her parents and husband, Coral was preceded in death by her son, Gary McBeth, and her brother, LaVier Miller.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 200 E. 11th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas.  Private burial will take place at Union Graham Cemetery.  A memorial has been established in Coral's name for the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary, and contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Services, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas 67156, which is in charge of arrangements.
