Billy Eugene Kent, 89, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on January 1, 2016.  Bill was born January 21, 1926 in Piedmont, Kansas to Everett Kent and Annabell (Scott) Kent.

Bill is survived by his son, Billy E. Kent of Youngsville, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite (James) Kent; his half-brothers, Raymond E. Kent and Russell L. Dougherty; and his half-sister, Ethel Lorene Dougherty.

Arrangements were made by Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
