William Jackson Tuck, age 83, passed away on January 2, 2016 in Elk Falls, Kansas.  He was born the son of William Thomas and Iva (Farmsworth) Tuck on December 30, 1932 at Hitching Creek Farm located north of Elk Falls which was owned by his grandparents, William and Ella Farnsworth.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.  In his youth, he attended Elk Valley rural school along with his sister and later attended Longton Public Schools.  He spent the majority of his life in Elk County and was a resident of Elk Falls since 1983.  He enjoyed the Senior Center dinners of the Elk Falls community

William is survived by his brother, Thomas G. Tuck of Elk Falls, Kansas, his sister, Betty Corle of Coffeyville, Kansas,  and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Iva Maybelle.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside memorial service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, Kansas.  The family suggests memorials to the Elk Falls Senior Center, and contributions may be sent to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1233, Howard, Kansas 67349, which is in charge of arrangements.
