Larry Gene Dewey, age 66, of Parsons, Kansas and formerly of Independence, Kansas, died October 31, 2015 at the Parsons State Hospital.  He was born August 31, 1949 in Winfield, Kansas to Leonard Lee and Mary Ilene (Burch) Dewey.

Larry grew up in Independence, Kansas and has lived in Parsons, Kansas for many years.  He loved to be outside and swing, and he was an avid rodent hunter and catcher.  Larry loved Pepsi.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 6, 2015 at the Longton, Cemetery in Longton, Kansas with Pastor Gloria Young officiating under the direction of the Webb & Rodrick Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
