Elizabeth Jane Gibbon, age 83, of Centennial, Colorado, died August, 26, 2015 at her home.  She was born March 26, 1932 in Moline, Kansas, the daughter of Kenneth and Hazel (McAlister) Harris.

After high school and attending college, Elizabeth married Harold F. Gibbon on July 22, 1952.  They were married for 47 years until his death on July 19. 1999.  Most of their married life, they lived in Topeka, Kansas where they raised five children.  Elizabeth worked for Prophet Foods at the Good Year Plant in Topeka and for Josten's American Yearbook Company.

Elizabeth was very artistic and enjoyed painting landscapes.  She enjoyed working in her garden.  She taught Children's Sunday School for several years and loved working with children at her church.  Most of all, Elizabeth loved being with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her five children, Kathryn S. Gibbon of Topeka, Kansas, Harold H. Gibbon of Derby, Kansas, C. Jane Gibbon of Centennial, Colorado, Kenneth A. Gibbon of Fife, Washington, and David L. Gibbon of Bentonville, Arkansas; her brother, Frank Harris of Boise, Idaho; her sister, Marlene Arndt of Kansas City, Missouri;12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; and her sister, Marian Dudgeon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas with burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Severy, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home.  The family has suggested memorials in her name be to Northland Christian Church Children Ministries of Topeka, Kansas and may be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services are entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
