Eva, wife of John Hauenstein, living near Elk Falls died the evening of January 1, 1927, aged 41 years.  She leaves her husband, two sons and three daughters to mourn her departure.  Her father, three brothers and three sisters are living, but her father, J. N. Perkins is at the point of death at the home of a son in Independence. Mr. Perkins and family lived four years on a farm south of Elk Falls. Mrs. Hauenstein was a member of the Elk Falls Christian church and of the Elk Falls Lodge, Daughters of Rebekah.  She had a large circle of friends.  Funeral was held Monday at 10 a. m.  Burial was in the Independence cenetery.
