O Wise One. Please tell me how the section of the population,who are mentally and /or physically unable to survive without help are to manage?
A number of years ago adults who were "housed" in institutions were dumped out and many became homeless street people.They had their rights, even though they couldn't take care of themselves.
They got their 'freedom" all right.The freedom to suffer out in public or in alleys or die in a card board box.
Society would, of course, rather not have to deal with schizophrenia, fetal alcohol babies, drug babies, Severe MS. MD, early massive strokes, unusual seizure disorders, severely deformed organs that don't or soon won't work, severe genetic defects, Spina Bifida and on and on.... and we won't even talk about the problems of the aging.
Many families do have good jobs with insurance that helps a lot, but in these days one can't count on that, or it runs out.
Thanks to modern medicine, many of these very sad infant cases survive, but will never be "productive " adults.
And of course, no abortions allowed, even when the outcome wouldn't live anyway for medical reasons.That is so heartless to force women who doesn't want to to carry a severely defective child, who has no chance of survival, to term if she doesn't want to.Blessings to those who will, even knowing the outcome and expense.
Why is it so wrong to help these cases? In this country, I don't care which "ism',you call it, good Christians should be appalled. The already overloaded Easter Seals, Salvation Army, Our Sunday Breakfast Mission,the Food Bank and others just barely make it on donations and prayers.
It's so easy to just say,well, they should get by on voluntary donations, not thievery. And when they have to close down...Then what? Mass graves? Who among us should turn our backs? Talk about middle class elitists!
So what is your solution?

Your cure is socialism and that's always been your solution to most everything.  You seem to have a vision for America to be an expanding Marxist community.

I want to hear about YOUR solution, not mine. You are very easy with the labels, but no real answers. What about slavery today? There is still an underground slavery of children and young girls, mostly in the biggest cities. Do you even know it exists? Humans are not just "stuff.''

Solution?  I have no solution.  Our founding fathers gave us the "solution" when they kicked out the British and gave us a Constitution.  How can you do better than that? 

As a elitist, you have solutions for everything.about  The solutions are the ongoing problems and new solutions are new problems.   While you imagine better things, your solutions steal our liberty.  Such vision. 

The Bolsheviks tried it and the Nazis tried it.  Socialism doesn't work.  It steals liberty.
