Carl A. Linder, 80, of Grenola, Kansas, passed away July 15, 2015 in the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  Carl slipped quietly and peacefully into eternity surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 22, 1935 in Hutchinson, Kansas to C.A. and Alice Marie (Lewis) Linder.

Carl attended school in Elk Falls, Kansas and was a graduate of Elk Falls High School.  On July 10, 1954, he married Betty Mann in Wichita, Kansas.  Carl and Betty owned Claude Mann & Assoc., Inc.  Carl loved all his hard work being a farmer and rancher.  He was an avid outdoorsman with his huge passion for hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed playing poker and was a very skilled player. 

Carl was a member of the Elk Falls United Methodist Church, a Mason, and a member of the National Rifle Association.  He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and touched many hearts with his many kind ways.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; daughter, Jan Crowder and husband, Mick of Derby, Kansas; sons, Brad Linder of Moline, Kansas and Curt Linder and wife, Shelley of Andover, Kansas; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gloria Spicer.

Cremation has been requested.  Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Grenola United Methodist Church in Grenola, Kansas with Pastor Dena Allison officiating.  Memorials are to the Elk Falls United Methodist Church, Grenola United Methodist Church, or the Shriners Children's Burn Hospital.  Contributions may be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
